PANELISTS

  • KRYS LUNARDO

    FOUNDER

    DEAL BODIES & DAUPHINE MAGAZINE

As a woman of African, European, and Indigenous-Caribbean descent, raised in two geographically diverse countries of The Bahamas and Canada—Krys’ beauty encounters were definably complex.

Redefining the pillars of beauty, Krys founded Dauphine in 2015—a print magazine that added dimension to an over-commercialized industry that lacked representation of creatives and content. Krys leveraged her studies in Architectural theory and design, and her experience in co-producing her self-titled TV segment ‘Beauty Beat with Krys’ for ET Canada in 2021, to better creative direct, design, and produce thought-provoking editorial assets across all mediums of her work.

In 2022, Krys earned a spot in the Sephora Accelerate for her previously founded-now-sold beauty brand—gaining recognition by Forbes, Byrdie, and WWD, with awards from American Express Blueprint and Telus Business. She was also recognized as ‘The Top 50 Women Leaders for Toronto 2022’ by global platform, Women we Admire.

This year, Krys launched Dealbodies—rerouting basic body care, to clean and effective, active concentrates for active skin. The eponymous brand leads with impactful ingredients that aren’t derailed by dilution—another notch in Krys’ commitment to revolutionizing beauty.
